Honoring 10 Years of the Community Eye Clinic

Who We Are

The Fort Worth Community Eye Clinic is a community-healthcare facility located inside First Christian Church in downtown Fort Worth. It was founded in 2013 as a unique collaboration between the City of Fort Worth, the University of Houston College of Optometry, and the University of Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry.

For the past 10 years, the Community Eye Clinic has partnered with support organizations throughout the region to provide essential medical and eye care services to our community. We also train residents and fourth year optometry students, who share our vision of providing high-quality health care to those in need.

What We Do

The Foundation for Education and Research in Vision at the University of Houston College of Optometry has provided significant financial support to this initiative from its inception and seeks your support to advance our mission. We believe everyone deserves access to proper eye care, regardless of economic status. This has been our guiding principle from the beginning, and we have achieved significant milestones in delivering eye care services to those who need it most by providing access to care for more than 30,000 patients and training in community health for more than 250 doctors since 2013.

How You Can Help

Our continued success depends on support from partners like you. We are grateful to those who have shared our vision and journey to improve health in the community of Fort Worth, while training the next generation of leaders in healthcare. Your support is making a difference. We hope you will join us in celebrating this significant milestone and renew your support for Community Eye Clinic’s continued success.
